Privacy Policy for ClipFrame Video Tools

Scope

This policy describes how the current Android application, ClipFrame Video Tools, handles information when you import, preview, edit, export, and share videos or capture still frames.

Data Access and Local Processing

The app accesses videos you select through Android’s document picker. It reads video and audio content to preview footage, trim clips, rotate videos, remove audio, and capture still frames. It also reads file names, file references, duration, dimensions, file size, codecs, container format, and rotation information. Thumbnails and timeline images are decoded on your device.

The app requests persistent access to selected source files so it can reopen them later. It also attempts to retain access to export destinations so you can open or share saved files. These permissions apply to the documents you select; the current implementation does not request broad access to your media library, camera, or microphone.

Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores imported-file references and metadata, project names and identifiers, project dates, editing settings, the current editing draft and playback position, your preferred export preset, and an export history containing file references, names, sizes, dates, and media types. This information is stored in the app’s private preferences to restore your workspace and reopen projects.

Projects reference source videos rather than storing replacement copies of them. Keep source files available so projects can reopen them. Editing preserves your original video. Exported videos and images are written to the location you select. Video exports also use a temporary file in the app’s cache.

Collection, Network Use, and Advertising

The inspected implementation processes media on your device and contains no developer-operated upload, account, analytics, advertising, or remote crash-reporting functionality. It does not transmit your media or saved workspace information to It as a service through an implemented app service.

The Android manifest includes internet permission, but no active network transfer feature was identified in the inspected application. This permission alone does not establish that information is transmitted.

Sharing and Third-Party Components

When you choose Open or Share for an exported file, the app provides the selected file to an application you choose through Android and grants it read access. That application’s subsequent handling of the file is governed by its own practices.

Android’s document picker may offer storage providers, including cloud-connected providers installed on your device. If you choose such a provider for a source or export destination, that provider may retrieve, store, or synchronize the file under its own policies. Media editing itself takes place on your device.

The app uses Android and AndroidX components, including Media3 ExoPlayer, Transformer, and media effects, for playback and processing, along with Jetpack Compose and Kotlin libraries. No advertising or analytics SDK was identified in the inspected dependencies.

Android Backup

The app enables Android backup. Depending on your device, operating system, backup provider, and settings, app preferences and workspace information may be included in system-managed backup or restoration. You can manage available backup options through your device settings. This is separate from the app’s local media-processing functions.

Security

The app uses Android’s private application storage for workspace preferences and document-specific permissions for selected files. Exported files are protected according to the storage location and provider you choose. The app also writes media-operation errors to Android’s diagnostic logs; no remote log-upload mechanism was identified.

No app-specific encryption mechanism was identified in the inspected implementation. No security measure guarantees complete protection. Because the app has no identified developer-operated data transfer, this policy does not assert an encryption-in-transit practice for such a service. Storage providers, backup services, and applications you choose manage their own security.

Retention

Saved workspace information remains in local app storage across sessions; no automatic expiration period is implemented. Temporary video-export files are scheduled for removal after completion, failure, or cancellation. Unexpected interruptions may leave cache files. If an incomplete destination file cannot be removed automatically, the app tells you to remove it from the chosen location.

Original media and exported files remain in their respective locations until you or the relevant storage provider remove them. Backup copies may remain subject to your backup provider’s retention settings.

Deletion and Your Controls

You can delete a saved project in the app. This removes that project’s saved record without deleting the original video. It does not necessarily remove imported-file metadata, export history, or the automatically saved editing draft.

To remove the local workspace more broadly, use Android’s app-storage controls to clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Separately delete original videos and exported files through the relevant storage application if you want to remove them. Clearing app data or uninstalling does not necessarily remove exported files or existing system backups.

You may send privacy or deletion questions to info@itservice.fun. The current app has no in-app deletion-request service or developer-operated repository of your media or workspace data that was identified during inspection. Information held by another application, storage provider, or backup service must be managed through that service’s controls.

Children’s Privacy

The supplied information does not establish a specific target age group. The current implementation has no account registration, age collection, advertising, or analytics functionality. Videos selected by users may contain information about children and receive the same local processing described above. For questions about a child’s information, contact info@itservice.fun.

Policy Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app or its data practices. Review the policy made available with the version of the app you use for current information.
