Privacy Policy for RoutePoint Navigator
Privacy Policy for RoutePoint Navigator
About this policy
RoutePoint Navigator is provided by It as a service. This policy describes how the current app handles information. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact info@itservice.fun.
Information accessed and stored
RoutePoint Navigator processes information on your device to provide coordinate tools, waypoint organization, calculations, and straight-line route planning. No account is required. The inspected app does not automatically send your workspace or location to the developer and does not include advertising, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.
The app stores saved waypoint names, coordinates, notes, project assignments, and creation and modification times. It also stores project names, route names and ordered waypoint references, route modification times, distance and coordinate-display preferences, and calculation history containing inputs, results, calculation types, and times. Android also stores whether the app has previously requested location permission.
Location access
When you request your current position, the app asks for Android location permission if needed. Depending on your permission choice and available device services, it accesses precise or approximate latitude and longitude, the reading time, and available accuracy information through Android's location services. It may show a previous device reading when a fresh reading is unavailable.
Location access is initiated by your use of a position control. The app stops location updates after obtaining a reading or completing the request; it does not implement continuous background location tracking. A displayed reading is held in memory. Coordinates you save as a waypoint or use in a successful calculation become part of the corresponding local record.
You can deny or revoke location permission in Android settings and continue using manual coordinate entry and offline calculations. Android and its location-service providers handle their own services under their respective privacy terms.
How information is used
The app uses this information to display your position, save and find waypoints, organize projects, convert coordinates, calculate great-circle distances and initial bearings, build routes, reopen recent calculations, remember preferences, and prepare exports. Manual coordinate tools and calculations operate locally without an account or map service.
Sharing, exports, and clipboard
The app does not automatically share workspace information with the developer, advertisers, or analytics services. You can choose to export waypoints, project waypoints, or route waypoints as CSV or GPX through Android's sharing interface.
CSV exports contain waypoint sequence, names, coordinates, notes, project assignments, and creation and modification times. GPX exports contain coordinates, waypoint names, notes, and creation times, with route waypoint order when exporting a route. Exports can therefore reveal locations and any personal information you include in names or notes.
To share an export, the app creates a file in its local cache and grants the receiving app permission to read it. The app or service you choose determines how the exported information is subsequently stored, transmitted, and shared under its own privacy terms.
Using Copy places the selected coordinate text, including the waypoint name where applicable, on the system clipboard. Clipboard access and retention depend on your operating system and other apps you use.
Android backup and platform services
Android backup is enabled in the app configuration. Depending on your device, Android version, and backup settings, app data may be included in system backup or device transfer and may leave the device through those platform features. These features are controlled by Android and your backup provider rather than by an app-operated server.
The current source uses Android platform services and standard AndroidX, Compose, and Kotlin libraries. No third-party advertising, analytics, map-service, or remote data-storage SDK is configured. Although the app declares internet permission, the inspected functionality does not implement uploads of your workspace to a developer server.
Storage and security
On Android, saved workspace information is held in app-private local preferences. Export files are held in the app's cache, and access through the export provider is restricted to read access granted for sharing. The app does not add its own encryption layer to saved records or export files. Protection also depends on your device's security, operating-system controls, and backup settings.
For certain failures, the app writes operation names, exception types, and stack traces to Android's local diagnostic log. The inspected app does not transmit these logs to a crash-reporting service.
No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed secure. Because the app does not implement its own server transmission of workspace data, no app-managed encryption-in-transit practice is specified. Transmissions by receiving apps, location services, or backup providers follow those services' practices.
Retention
Saved waypoints, projects, routes, and preferences remain in local storage until you remove them or clear the app's data. Calculation history retains the most recent 300 successful calculations; adding further calculations replaces older entries. You can also delete individual history records or clear the history.
Export cache files may remain until replaced by an export of the same format or removed through Android cache or app-data controls. No timed cache-deletion schedule is implemented. Copies shared with other apps and copies held by backup providers follow their own retention rules.
Deletion and your choices
You can delete individual waypoints and routes within the app. Deleting a waypoint also removes its references from saved routes. Deleting a route keeps its waypoints. Removing a project keeps its waypoints as ungrouped records. History can be deleted individually or cleared in full.
To remove the app's locally stored workspace and preferences, use Android's Clear storage or Clear data control for RoutePoint Navigator. Uninstalling normally removes its local app data, but exported files, recipient copies, and system backups may remain separately. Manage those copies through the relevant apps, storage locations, or backup settings. Revoking location permission stops future permitted location access but does not delete records already saved.
You may send privacy or deletion questions to info@itservice.fun. The current app does not provide a developer-hosted account or remote workspace that the developer can erase on your behalf; local records must be removed using the device controls described above.
Browser preview
If you use the browser preview, its workspace is stored in that browser's local storage. The preview supports manual coordinates rather than device GPS, creates downloadable export files, and uses the browser clipboard when available. Clear the preview site's browser storage to remove its saved workspace and delete downloaded files separately. This policy does not establish the data practices of any service hosting the preview.
Children's privacy
The available information does not establish an intended child audience or a specific minimum age. The current app does not request age information or provide accounts, advertising, or analytics. Location information and text saved by a child are handled through the same local storage, permissions, and optional sharing features described above. A parent or guardian can use the device's permission and deletion controls and contact info@itservice.fun with privacy questions.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app or its data practices. Review the version made available with the app for current information.
