Scope
This policy describes data handling in the current version of TimberCut Planner, a tool for planning timber cuts and organizing woodworking projects. It also describes local storage in the browser preview where applicable.
Data You Enter and Local Processing
TimberCut Planner processes the information you enter to provide its features. This includes project names and notes; part names, materials, dimensions, quantities, and notes; available stock; blade kerf; saved cutting layouts; checklist items and completion status; and measurement and display preferences. It also stores the selected project and project edit dates.
This information is used to save and reopen your workspace, suggest cutting arrangements, calculate material requirements and utilization, track tasks, and prepare exports. Workshop calculator inputs are processed locally and are not included in the saved workspace.
Project names and notes may contain personal information if you choose to enter it. You do not need an account to use the app.
Collection and Device Access
The inspected application does not transmit your workspace to the developer or implement advertising, analytics, tracking, or remote crash reporting. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
The Android app declares internet permission, but the inspected active application code does not use it to send workspace information or make network requests. Saving an export uses the Android system file picker to write to a location you select; it does not require broad access to your files.
Storage and Backups
On Android, the workspace is stored in the app’s private SharedPreferences storage. The browser preview stores the workspace in the browser’s local storage.
Android backup is enabled in the application configuration. Depending on your device settings and backup service, the operating system may include app data in backups or device transfers. Such copies are handled by the applicable platform or backup provider under its own settings and policies.
Exports, Sharing, and Third Parties
You can export a cutting list as CSV or a project summary as text. Depending on the format, an export can contain project names, notes, part details, materials, dimensions, quantities, stock, checklist information, saved layouts, and an export date. You can review the export preview before saving or sharing it.
On Android, Share opens the system share sheet and passes the export content to the app you choose. Save file writes the export to the location you select, which may be managed by a cloud storage provider. In the browser preview, exports use the browser’s download function.
Recipients, selected apps, storage providers, and backup services handle information under their own policies. Deleting a project in TimberCut Planner does not delete copies you have exported, shared, or backed up.
The inspected dependencies include Kotlin, AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, and coroutine libraries used to run the app and its interface. No advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting SDK was identified.
Diagnostics and Security
Storage, export, and sharing failures may produce error details in Android system logs or the browser console. The inspected app does not upload these diagnostics to the developer.
The Android workspace uses app-private storage and relies on operating-system access controls. The browser preview relies on browser storage protections. The app does not add its own encryption layer to workspace data, and exported CSV and text files are not encrypted by the app. No security measure guarantees complete protection.
Because the app does not implement its own remote data transfer, there is no app-operated transmission for which an encryption-in-transit guarantee can be made. Transfers performed by selected sharing apps, storage providers, or backup services depend on those services.
Retention and Deletion
The app has no automatic expiration period for saved projects or preferences. They remain in local storage until you delete them or remove the app’s stored data.
You can delete a project through the app’s Delete project control. This removes its parts, stock, checklist, and saved layouts from the current workspace when the change is successfully saved. You can clear Android app storage through device settings to remove the local workspace and preferences. For the browser preview, clear the site’s local storage through browser settings.
Exported files, recipients’ copies, and platform backups must be managed separately through the relevant app, provider, or device settings. Backup copies may remain subject to the provider’s retention rules.
For deletion questions or privacy requests, contact info@itservice.fun. There is no in-app deletion-request submission feature. The developer cannot remotely delete a workspace stored only on your device.
Children’s Privacy
TimberCut Planner is a woodworking planning tool. No intended age range is established in the supplied application information. The inspected app does not request ages, create accounts, or implement transmission of children’s personal information to the developer. If you have a concern about personal information entered into the app or included in an export, contact info@itservice.fun.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the application or its data practices. Review the policy associated with the version you use for current information.
